Throat or nasal obstructions are the most common cause of coughing and breathing difficulties. Phlegm accumulated in the lungs is contributing to these health issues. While this problem isn’t life threatening, it does affect the quality of life.
What is the Phlegm Actually?
This sticky substance is secreted by the membranes of mucus, and its role is to trap all the dust and viruses.
Mostly it is protecting us from cold, and we start to cough when mucus is accumulated in the throat and chest. It is often followed with a fever, coughing, weakened body, runny nose, and breathing difficulties. The bronchial tubes might be obstructed if we don’t eliminate the phlegm from the lungs, increasing the risk of more serious health issues.
There is no need to worry though, as there are a couple of natural remedies which help eliminate phlegm from the lungs naturally. Here are some of them:
- Honey & Lemon
This powerful combination is extremely effective at treating respiratory issues, due to their antifungal and antibacterial properties. The lemon is packed with vitamin C, which makes it a great immune booster. The mucus is easily broken down by lemon`s acidity.
