Turmeric is a spice which comes from the turmeric plant. It is mostly used in Asian food, and most people know it as the main spice in curry. 5 Turmeric Drinks
- Golden Milk
- 2 cups of milk of choice
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp dried ginger powder
- A sprinkle of black pepper
- Honey to taste
Heat the milk first, and then add the rest of the ingredients. Simmer for a minute or two and drink up!
- Turmeric Water With Black Pepper
- A glass of water
- 1 tbsp turmeric
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp olive oil (optional)
In a glass of water mix all the ingredients and stir well. Drink right away!
- Turmeric Smoothie
- ½ banana
- 1 cup frozen mango
- 1 tbsp of coconut oil
- 1 tsp of turmeric powder
- 1 tsp chia seeds
- ½ tsp cinnamon
Blend the ingredients in a blender until smooth. Serve!
- Turmeric Tea
- 1-2 cups of water
- 1-2 tsp of turmeric powder
- 1 tsp of ginger powder
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- A pinch of clove powder
- A pinch of nutmeg powder
- A pinch of fresh ground black pepper
- Raw honey to sweeten as desired
Boil the water first, and then add the rest of the ingredients, expect for the honey. Simmer for about ten minutes, and then stir in the honey.
- Turmeric Latte
- 1 cup unsweetened almond or coconut milk
- 1 heaping tablespoon freshly-grated turmeric root
- 1 tbsp freshly grated ginger root
- 1 tsp of cinnamon powder
- 1 tbsp coconut oil
- Raw honey to taste
- Pinch of black pepper (optional)
Heat the milk in a saucepan, and then add the rest of the ingredients, except for the honey. Bring it to a boiling point, simmer for five minutes, and remove from heat. Allow it to cool a little bit and sweeten with honey.
